VMA Recap...

I look forward to the VMAs every year! Last 2 years Paul's sister has had a VMA party at their parents house with all her sorority sisters. Of course Paul and I go over for the amazing amount of food and the VMAs!

Ok one thing from the VMAs that I could not stand was Nicki Minaj. When I first saw her outfit my reaction was REALLY!?!?!?! Can you say trying WAY to hard!

Goodbye 25 It Was Great!

My 25th year was full of lots of ups and downs...

...I got engaged to my best friend Paul

...Grandpa Merle passed away, Paul and I miss him horribly and
wish that he was still here to spend our special day with us

...My sister Kayla's high school softball team won the State Championship

...We adopted Khloe into our family

...I became the Director of Media Communications

...bought a new car, which I LOVE

...and many more memories 

Now I'm 26 and look forward to all the things it will have to offer.

Confession...I have never really been a fan of my birthday, because its another year older. 

I know I know I'm only 26 and I have lots and lots of life to look forward to so I shouldn't be sad right?

This year I started my birthday in tears because Paul had class and couldn't spend it with me. But luckily I have some fabulous friends who took away from their busy lives to make my day extra special. 

My birthday/anniversary gift from Paul. And yes he had a note typed to me on Kate Spade stationary.

Some of my co-workers that went took me out to lunch. Famous Daves was soooo yummy!

Since it was my birthday I really wanted a cupcake and birthday calories don't count!

After lunch I came back to this. Paul surprised me with my FAVORITE flowers of all time in my favorite color with a card and a gift card to go out to eat from the kitties. On the gift certificate it said to mommy from BK (Bella Kitty) and KK (Khloe Kitty). Pretty sure I have the best fiancé ever! (I might be a little bias)

I just want end with a special thank you to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday. I am so lucky to have nice bloggy friends.

iPhone Fun...Wedding Weekend!

This weekend one of my really good friends went from Ms. to Mrs! Not only did I get to be a personal attendant in her wedding I also got to sing! The only thing that went wrong was the mic didn't work so I had to sing from the top of my lungs to very one could hear me! This was also the first time Paul heard me sing...and he said I did really well from what he could hear of it. I'm mad at myself that I didn't use my nice camera to get more pictures from this awesome day but I thought I would show you what my iPhone got!

Good way to start the LONG day off!!!

Time Is Flying By...

 NINE MONTHS TILL WE GET MARRIED

five ~ eighteen ~ twelve

It seems like it was just yesterday when Paul asked me to marry him. 

For now it feels like most of our wedding planning is taken care of, 

but I still can't believe how fast time is going!!!

It's ok...that I didn't wake up yesterday morning to work out and had Taco Bell late last night.

It's ok...that I sing at the top of my lungs in my car at stop lights.

It's ok...that I haven't thought about wedding planning for 2 weeks now. 

It's ok...that all I had for breakfast this morning was a spoonful of peanut butter

It's ok...that sometimes I can't find my creative side.

It's ok...that I'm secretly counting down the days till the first Husker home football game.

It's ok...I haven't been motivated to clean.

It's ok...that its my birthday next Wednesday and I'm not excited nor do I know what I want for my birthday.
