Holiday Traditions

Can't believe Christmas is just around the corner. This year is the last year before I become a Mrs. 

Since our family is changing, the traditions that we have are also changing.

But I wanted to share some of my favorite traditions growing up as a kid. 

Every year after we would put up the Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving Mom and Dad would give us three girls two presents. One would be an ornament and the second would be a Christmas book or a  calendar. For the past 4 years I haven't been home to help my family decorate the tree. My mom still doesn't let me down. This year instead of an ornament for just me she got us both an ornament. 

Another tradition that we have is on Christmas morning after we open all the presents from Santa, we each have to find a pickle ornament and the word Santa hidden in the tree. Each ornament is labeled with a number and whoever finds each number gets the present that matches the number.

My fortune from last week. My sisters have this thing that whenever we get a fortune we say "in bed" after it. This one is hilarious if you put "in bed" after it.

Another perk from Klout! 

Our sorry looking Christmas tree. The kitties do this every year. Something about the branches and the fact that they love to chew on them and that they think they can climb the tree, results in a really sorry looking Christmas tree. This is why I haven't decorated our tree yet. 

My favorite Christmas decoration. Each year my mom gives me a new piece to put up. 

Bella was really excited we brought home popcorn from the movie! 

Can't wait to dig into this cookbook! 

Our first couple ornament from my parents! Can't wait to put it on the tree...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Since it is the season to be grateful I wanted to share with you all 5 things that I'm grateful for this Thanksgiving.

First and for most my fiance Paul. He is my best friend and my rock. 

I'm so blessed to have him in my life to support me and love me for who I am (sweatpants and all)!

My family. I have been blessed with a wonderful family. My parents have supported all three of us girls in all of our passions and aspirations. I can't image where I would be without the love and support I have received from all of them.

Words can't express how grateful I am to have a job that I love and can go to every day. There are so many of my friends and people I know that would give anything to have a job right now.

My fur babies - they bring so much joy to our lives.

The Perks of Klout

To be honest I sent out a tweet yesterday that said...

But today I received my first perk and I'm totally rethinking hanging up the Klout hat. 

Maybe I'll keep Klout around for a little bit more.

Just Add Color Blog Swap Reveal & Link Up

Today's the day to show off the scarf and nail polish you sent and received during the Just Add Color Swap. I cannot believe Jessica and I had 50 participants for the first annual swap. 

I think this swap is such fun and I hope you enjoyed being a part of it.

My partner was Amber, from Brunch with Amber. 

It was so much fun shopping for her. And if you aren't following your blog your really missing out! I have loved getting to know her. 

This is what she sent me. 

I gave her a hint that I was looking for a black and white scarf and she nailed it! I told her that I have lots of reds and pinks for nail polish so find something that is either nude color or browns and I love the color. 

Just noticed my mirror is a little dirty in the picture...please don't judge. 

I couldn't get this nail polish to photograph well but it looks awesome in person. 

You'll just have to take my word for it!
