Ok first off let me begin begin by saying I am a neat freak! Growing up as kids my sisters and I were never allowed to keep our rooms messy. Before we went to school our beds had to be made. I hated cleaning and vacuuming. I thought it was a waste of time and would rather hang out with friends then stay at home and help mom clean.
But thanks to my mom I have inherited the impulsive cleaner.
Now that I have an apartment of my own I can't stand it being messy.
But lately I have thought about getting a personal maid. With the wedding stuff everywhere, the gifts pilled in the corner of our apartment and the lack of being home our apartment is starting to look like this...

Please tell me this mess will not last forever! Hopefully someday Paul and I will be able to sort through all the wedding stuff and get life back to order. I wish I had a separate room just to store all the wedding stuff.
This is NOT an actual picture of my apartment!

Hahah that's what my apartment looks like just about every day. Let me just say the boyfriend cannot stand it! I suppose I'll be turning into that compulsive cleaner once things progress with him. ;)
ReplyDeleteOMG you've just described my fear! I am a neat freak as well...my mom used to vacuum our house 4 times a day. I am petrified that my house is going to look like a war zone after my bridal shower. Where are we going to put all that stuff? Let me know how this goes for you! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a neat freak, but I love organization. When my apartment begins to feel unorganized, it drives me insane. I'm sure it will all go back to normal once the craziness of the wedding is over!
ReplyDeleteI love how you said, this is NOT a picture of my actual apartment! I'm a neat freak too so I feel your pain. I can't stand to see things out of place, it will literally drive me nuts.
ReplyDeleteI think u should get someone to help. However, they usually dont clean around mess so everything will hv to be picked up. Also the companies r wayyy more expensive so if u could find someone who works on their own that would be better.x

If you can swing it, DO IT. It will so help relieve some stress so you can keep focusing on your wedding. Once gifts start coming in, those will start to take space too so you might as well :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a neat freak too. It'll get better after the wedding. You'll be able to purge and donate old stuff and everything will have a place again. I was looking for your wedding stuff in that picture and was like, “Well, maybe she really is out of space, but why is there a crockpot next to the computer?” Hahaha!
ReplyDeletei would LOVE to get someone to clean my house! but i agree with other posters that it gets better after the wedding!
ReplyDeleteJust focus on the wedding! The rest will fall in to place ;)
