Got my Mac back in record time. I only had to be without it for 3 days, which to me is not bad at all!!!

Picked up in-laws dog Ruby from the groomers on Tuesday.

A cat lady's dream calendar. 

My sister Kayla sent me a picture she drew in her high school art class. 

I couldn't believe how good it was. She is only a sophomore. (Proud sister moment)

Yep the fiancé always ruins our photos together.

Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons

Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons was the January book for the Cover 2 Cover Book Club 

hosted by Ashley and Crystal.

1. During the sixties and seventies, the Angry Housewives smoked cigarettes and threw back highballs-even while pregnant-without knowledge of the harm it could do. If they could have glimpsed their futures then, what do you think would have surprised them most about their future selves? What is one thing you know now that you would have really appreciated being aware of ten years ago? 

If they had a glimpse into their futures I think the women would be surprised at all the health concerns associated with smoking. I would have love to have known you don't land your dream job right out of college and you have to find good internships to build up your working network. When I graduated from high school nobody told me that it was going to be hard landing your first job out of college. 

2. Why do you think groups like AHEB-women who live near each other, raise children together, and bond over books together-persist even in a climate of working moms and in a culture that is flooded with other types of media?

I think they continue to exist because there is something about personal interaction that builds friendships. Even with different types of media, women still love getting together and bond over shopping or a cup of coffee. 

3. Audrey has a talent for sensing upcoming events. In what ways do her capabilities influence how she deals with her family? Does it differ from how they affect her friendships? How much do you believe in psychic phenomena? Would being endowed with such a gift help or hinder one's decisions?

She uses this talent as a way to protect her family. I don't feel that it differs that much from her friendships. I don't believe in the psychic phenomena. And a gift like this would hinder an individual because it takes away from deciding with your heart. 

4. How do you feel about the later inclusion of Grant as a member of AHEB? Did you think the inclusion of a male affected their particular group dynamic? What is valuable about inviting men to participate in women's dialogue?

I think it was a good idea. Including a man into a group gives the group another side to look at. It is always nice to get a man's opinion sometimes. 

5. Merit eventually finds Paradise, literally and figuratively. Do you believe that good things come to people who wait?

Yes.

6. Did you like the format of the book? How did giving every character the opportunity to voice their thoughts support the all-for-one and one-for-all theme of the book and the club itself?

I did not care for the way this book was written. It was extremely hard to follow along. I'm not a huge reader, so when I have to re-read something to figure it out it makes me become uninterested in the book quickly. 


7. In order to attain a greater understanding of herself, Faith utilizes therapy, learns from her friendships and culls inspiration from books. How do these three supplement each other as means of self discovery? Which books and authors have inspired you most through the years?
Being able to talk through feelings via friends and therapy and reading some encouraging words from books are great means of self discovery. Some of the best advice and aspirations have come from my friends and books. One book that has stuck with me through the years is called How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dave Carnegie. My dad actually recommended this one to me! It has some power points that I wasn't doing. Another one that I have found is called You Were Born for This by Bruce Wilkinson. 

8. How does AHEB compare to our book club?
The gals in AHEB had some common interests. I think our book club is comparable because we all have a common interest in blogging. 

Food Crazed

Many of you have seen some of my posts about my food crazed cat, Bella. 

Ever since she was a kitten human food has been her thing. We even have to lock her up when we have company over for dinner because she climbs on people just to get to their food. 

Sunday night Paul and I were watching football and enjoying a bowl of popcorn and Miss Bella insisted that she was included in this mini party. 

So here is the proof that she loves human food and wishes she had hands so she can eat it better.

This is how I start my mornings. A cup of coffee and reading your lovely blog posts! 

I've been trying a lot of my sample Keurig Kcups. So far my favorite is this one!

We have been having extremely cold temperatures. 

On Thursday this was the temp on my way to my interview. 

Yesterday (Sunday) it was 50 degrees all day and then at 8:00 last night it started snowing like crazy. 

Khloe likes to take up the entire couch during the day. Nobody taught her how to share or cuddle.

This is how I spent my Sunday afternoon. 

Since my computer is dead luckily I have had the iPad to get my pinning done.

I love scoring nice nail polish for almost free!

The O.P.I is called Spark De Triomphe and I got this bottle for 50% at Younkers.

And thanks to my friend Jenn (go check out her blog!) I got the Zoya Kelly nail polish for FREE! 

So in the grand scheme of things I landed two really nice bottles of nail polish for nearly nothing!

This is the first time I have done an accent nail too. I think I like it!
